The MO5.COM association has the great pleasure of announcing that Christophe Héral, composer of Beyond Good and Evil, has just joined the association as an honorary member. He will also participate in the Support Committee for the National Video Games Museum.
He considers our initiative necessary and welcome, and offers us his support by agreeing to become an honorary member of the association. There is no doubt that the support of such a personality from the world of video games will help us to make ourselves known and develop.
Born in 1960 in Montpellier, Christophe Héral learned the guitar as a teenager then studied composition from the age of seventeen. It was in 1986 that he created his first soundtrack for an animated short film. Héral will thus compose the music for numerous short films, often awarded prizes such as Chienne d'Histoire (2011) which won the Palme d'Or for short film at Cannes. But we also owe him the soundtrack of the animated feature films L'Île de Black Mór (2005) and Kérity, la maison des contes (2009). It was in 1999, when Michel Ancel was looking for a film composer for his next game, the ambitious Beyond Good and Evil (2003), that Hubert Chevillard, an animation director, recommended Christophe Héral to him. He will collaborate again with the video game creator for Rayman Origins (2011) and Rayman Legends (2013), as well as with the publisher of these two titles, Ubisoft, for The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn (2011), the adaptation of Steven Spielberg's animated film. Today, he is working again with Michel Ancel on his next game WiLD produced by Sony.
