The MO5.COM association has the great pleasure of announcing that Cyril Drevet, former editor at Player One and presenter of the Télévisator 2 show, has just joined the association as an honorary member. He will also participate in the Support Committee for the National Video Games Museum.
He considers our initiative necessary and welcome, and offers us his support by agreeing to become an honorary member of the association. There is no doubt that the support of such a personality from the world of video games will help us to make ourselves known and develop.
Born on January 22, 1970, Cyril Drevet has been immersed in the world of television since he was very young thanks to his father, the host and weather presenter Patrice Drevet. This is how he was led to present a weekly section dedicated to video games on the show Matin Bonheur, then others on France 3 and La Cinq. He also became an editor for Joystick and then Amstrad Cent Pour Cent. The editor-in-chief of the latter, Pierre Valls, then invited him to participate in the Player One adventure, the very first magazine exclusively dedicated to game consoles, for which Cyril took the famous pseudonym Crevette. This success led him to present, for a year and a half, the Télévisator 2 show broadcast on France 2, and to produce Player One on MCM. He then continued at Club Dorothée, then on TMC with Récré Kid's, from 1996 to 2001. When Player One went bankrupt, he decided to mix video games with his other passion, cars, with the show Turbo on M6 in which he offered frequent reports on racing games, but also the video game shows Game Start on AB Matériaux, and Cyber Sports on AB Sports/Pathé Sports. He arrived in 2009 on the Gameblog site, where he hosted Versus with Alain Huygues Lacour, and is currently presenting Backstage. He also writes in Pix’n Love and for the magazine Planète Robots, where he discusses the contribution of robotics to his two passions, video games and automobiles.
