The MO5.COM association has the great pleasure of announcing that Dino Dini, creator of Kick Off, has just joined the association as an honorary member.
He considers our initiative necessary and welcome, and offers us his support by agreeing to become an honorary member of the association. There is no doubt that the support of such a personality from the world of video games will help us to make ourselves known and develop.
Dino Dini taught himself programming, starting on an Acorn System 1 in 1979, and he began creating video games for microcomputers. Since then, he has continued to develop titles for numerous platforms. His first published games were published by a small company called Timedata, starting with Acorn Atom Magic Book in 1980. He began development on Kick Off in 1988. After the release of Dino Dini's Soccer (1994), he moved to the United States to work for several companies before returning to the United Kingdom in 2001. For the next five years, he collaborated with Trecision in Italy and DC Studios in Canada on two different soccer game projects, which will not be marketed while the two companies involved are experiencing financial difficulties during this difficult period for the industry. From 2007 to 2015, he was employed as a professor at a university of applied sciences in the Netherlands, where he taught video game programming. He is currently working full-time on Dino Dini’s Kick Off Revival with support from Sony.
