The MO5.COM association has the great pleasure of announcing that Éric Viennot, creator of In Memoriam, has just joined the association as an honorary member. He will also participate in the Support Committee for the National Video Games Museum.
He considers our initiative necessary and welcome, and offers us his support by agreeing to become an honorary member of the association. There is no doubt that the support of such a personality from the world of video games will help us to make ourselves known and develop.
Born March 10, 1960 in Lyon, Éric Viennot trained as a visual artist, which led him to paint, photography and video within the group of multimedia artists Équipage 10. He passed the Capes and the Agrégation d’arts nationaux to teach at the University of Paris 1 for five years. In 1990, he created the Lexis Numérique studio with Marie Viennot and José Sanchis, initially specializing in computer-generated images, and Éric Viennot then participated in numerous multimedia projects as a graphic designer and artistic director. From 1998, he specialized in productions aimed at young people, notably with the CD-ROM series The Adventures of Uncle Ernest, which earned him numerous international distinctions. In 2003, he changed register with the In Memoriam trilogy, at the crossroads of video games, cinema and the Internet and won the SACD prize. He was made a Knight of Arts and Letters in March 2007 and released eXperience 112 the same year. Today, he continues his research in the field of trans-media games, notably with his next project, the ambitious Alt-Minds.
