The MO5.COM association has the great pleasure of announcing that Paul Cuisset, creator of Flashback, has just joined the association as an honorary member. He will also participate in the Support Committee for the National Video Games Museum.
He considers our initiative necessary and welcome, and offers us his support by agreeing to become an honorary member of the association. There is no doubt that the support of such a personality from the world of video games will help us to make ourselves known and develop.
A talented programmer, Paul Cuisset made his debut in video games during the 1980s and founded the emblematic company Delphine Software in 1988 with Paul de Senneville. The first masterpiece to come from this studio is undoubtedly Les Voyageurs du Temps which Paul Cuisset directed alongside Éric Chahi. After having edited Another World, he wrote and programmed Flashback, released in 1992 and whose international influence made it the best-selling French video game in history according to the Guinness Book of Records. This notoriety will allow him to take charge of Shaq Fu in 1994, then to give a sequel to Flashback the following year, Fade to Black, one of the very first third-person action games. The Moto Racer series as well as Darkstone will follow. Delphine Software closed its doors in 2004, as did its subsidiary Adeline created by Frédérick Raynal. Paul Cuisset then founded the company VectorCell with Lexis Numérique, for which he designed Mister Slime in 2008. He is currently working on the downloadable game Amy planned for this year.
