Those who attended the last Rencontres Vidéoludiques already know this; after Game, video games through time two years ago, our friend Jean Zeid will curate a new exhibition opening today.
As the name suggests, Design me a video game will not only look at video games from a chronological perspective, but will also look at the component that makes them unique and yet is often overlooked by the media because of its invisible nature: the game design. And since the latter can only be experienced through practice, the exhibition will question this concept through forty-five games, thirty of which will be playable with the participation of the association MO5.COMand will be accompanied by an installation of the laboratory RANDOM of theEsadse paying tribute to independent video games.
Logically, the event is being held at the Cité du Design from Saint-Étienne (Loire), located at 3, rue Javelin Pagnon. The entrance is from 6 € with a reduced rate at 4,50 €knowing that it is free of charge for all the first Sunday of each month. Find out more at the ticket officewhich also offers a guided family tour and a workshop for childrenand all the practical information on the official website. In addition, Jean Zeid, who recently left France Inter to focus on this type of initiative, is presenting the exhibition via Twitter (part 1, part 2).
