They will also be taking part in the\u00a0<strong>Support Committee for the National Video Games Museum<\/strong>. They see our initiative as necessary and welcome, and are offering us their support. In the final year of high school, a classmate introduced him to the small studio.\u00a0<strong>Rainbow Production<\/strong>where Yannick meets someone looking for a programmer for the team developing a new publisher's first game.<\/p>\n<p>He then worked with the graphic designer\u00a0<strong>Patrick Daher<\/strong>\u00a0and screenwriter\u00a0<strong>Alexandre Bonan<\/strong>\u00a0about the game\u00a0<em><strong>Zombi<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(1986), inspired by the 1978 horror film of the same name, at first in his spare time, then leaving school to become one of the first employees of<strong>Ubi Soft<\/strong>\u00a0on a part-time basis - he decided to take his freedom back a few weeks later - as \"head of software\"; he sorted out the game proposals while continuing work on the\u00a0<em>Zombi<\/em>. Adding a touch of action to the graphic adventure game, it was a success and led to two other games inspired by films on which Yannick was also a designer,\u00a0<em><strong>Manhattan 95<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(1987, based on\u00a0<em>New York 1997<\/em>) and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mag.mo5.com\/actu\/39775\/deux-remakes-pour-les-treize-ans-dabandonware-france\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><strong>Howling<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u00a0(1988).<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, he helped other programmers with copy protection, for example, and produced all the graphics functions for the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mag.mo5.com\/actu\/39775\/deux-remakes-pour-les-treize-ans-dabandonware-france\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><strong>Master of Souls<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u00a0(1988) for its author,\u00a0<strong>\u00c9ric Doireau<\/strong>can code it in a high-level language. The latter will recommend it for porting.\u00a0<strong>MS-DOS<\/strong>\u00a0of its\u00a0<em><strong>Teenage Queen<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(1988) on behalf of<a href=\"http:\/\/mag.mo5.com\/a-la-une\/129655\/emmanuel-viau-membre-dhonneur-de-mo5-com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>ERE Informatique<\/strong><\/a>. In 1988, Yannick Cadin turned away from the world of video games to take an interest in 'professional' computing, holding a number of positions in various companies, setting up or helping to set up other companies, and finally founding his own IT services company in 1997,\u00a0<strong>Kommando<\/strong>renamed\u00a0<strong>Imp<\/strong>\u00a0in 2002 and is still in business.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mo5.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/fx-talgorn.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-1\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"255\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6570\" src=\"https:\/\/mo5.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/fx-talgorn-255x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mo5.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/fx-talgorn-255x300.jpg 255w, https:\/\/mo5.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/fx-talgorn.jpg 466w\"  sizes=\"(max-width: 255px) 100vw, 255px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Born on 2 April 1968,\u00a0<strong>Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier Talgorn<\/strong>discovered computing at the age of 14 during an evening out with friends, which he spent programming on a calculator\u00a0<strong>TI-57<\/strong>. Two years later, he received his first computer, a\u00a0<strong>Oric Atmos<\/strong>which will be followed by a\u00a0<strong>Amstrad CPC<\/strong>. He then started tinkering with a few BASIC games, and quickly became interested in music and sound programming. Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier wrote the music for\u00a0<em><strong>M.G.T.<\/strong><\/em>\/<em><strong>Magnetik Tank<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(1986) on behalf of\u00a0<strong>Loriciels<\/strong>and then presented a demo at\u00a0<strong>Ubi Soft<\/strong>\u00a0who hired him for the soundtrack of<em><strong>Inertia<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(1987).<\/p>\n<p>He followed this up with a dozen tracks including the version of\u00a0<strong>PC<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a0<em><strong>Zombi<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<i><b>Fear of Amityville<\/b><\/i>\u00a0(1987),\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mag.mo5.com\/actu\/39775\/deux-remakes-pour-les-treize-ans-dabandonware-france\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><strong>Howling<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u00a0or even\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mag.mo5.com\/actu\/39775\/deux-remakes-pour-les-treize-ans-dabandonware-france\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><strong>The Master of Souls<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u00a0(1988). At the end of the 1980s, he left Ubi Soft and went to university, where he obtained a Master's degree in computer science. After two years as a\u00a0<em>game designer<\/em>\u00a0from an obscure little video game studio, Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier founded his own company\u00a0<strong>iLAB<\/strong>which develops educational games, including some twenty CD-ROMs for\u00a0<strong>Hachette Multimedia<\/strong>. At the end of the 1990s, he joined\u00a0<strong>DURAN DUBOI<\/strong>a specialist in cinema special effects, as head of the\u00a0<em>game design<\/em>\u00a0where he took part in the development of the very first\u00a0<em><strong>Virtual Skipper<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(2000) for Ubisoft.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, he also took an interest in marketing through various software projects, and from 2002 he spent two years as Marketing Director at\u00a0<strong>QEDSoft<\/strong>which develops 3D technology for the web. N\u00e9 le 2 ao\u00fbt 1967,\u00a0Yannick Cadin\u00a0d\u00e9couvre la programmation sur des machines comme le\u00a0ZX81, le\u00a0Canon X-07\u00a0et l\u2019Amstrad CPC 664, puis \u00e9tudie l\u2019informatique au lyc\u00e9e mais s\u2019ennuie fermement face au niveau peu \u00e9lev\u00e9 de l\u2019enseignement. En terminale, un copain de classe lui fait d\u00e9couvrir le petit studio\u00a0Rainbow Production, o\u00f9 Yannick rencontre quelqu\u2019un \u00e0 la recherche d\u2019un programmeur pour l\u2019\u00e9quipe devant d\u00e9velopper le tout premier jeu d\u2019un nouvel \u00e9diteur. Il planche alors avec le graphiste\u00a0Patrick Daher\u00a0et le sc\u00e9nariste\u00a0Alexandre Bonan\u00a0sur le jeu\u00a0Zombi\u00a0(1986), inspir\u00e9 par le film d\u2019horreur \u00e9ponyme de 1978, tout d\u2019abord dans son temps libre puis il quitte le lyc\u00e9e et devient l\u2019un des premiers employ\u00e9s d\u2019Ubi Soft\u00a0\u00e0 mi-temps \u2013 il d\u00e9cidera de reprendre sa libert\u00e9 quelques semaines plus tard \u2013 en tant que \u00ab\u00a0chef des logiciels\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0; il fait le tri dans les propositions de jeux tout en poursuivant le travail sur\u00a0Zombi. Ajoutant une touche d\u2019action au jeu d\u2019aventure graphique, ce dernier est un succ\u00e8s et m\u00e8ne \u00e0 deux autres jeux inspir\u00e9s de films sur lesquels Yannick est aussi concepteur,\u00a0Manhattan 95\u00a0(1987, bas\u00e9 sur\u00a0New York 1997) et\u00a0Hurlements\u00a0(1988). En parall\u00e8le, il aide d\u2019autres programmeurs sur la protection contre la copie par exemple, et r\u00e9alise toutes les fonctions graphiques du\u00a0Ma\u00eetre des \u00c2mes\u00a0(1988) pour que son auteur,\u00a0\u00c9ric Doireau, puisse le coder dans un langage de haut niveau. Ce dernier le recommandera pour r\u00e9aliser le portage\u00a0MS-DOS\u00a0de son\u00a0Teenage Queen\u00a0(1988) pour le compte d\u2019ERE Informatique. Courant 1988, Yannick Cadin se d\u00e9tourne de l\u2019univers du jeu vid\u00e9o pour s\u2019int\u00e9resser \u00e0 l\u2019informatique \u00ab\u00a0professionnelle\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0; il occupe alors diff\u00e9rents postes pour diverses entit\u00e9s, cr\u00e9e ou participe \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation de soci\u00e9t\u00e9s, et finit par fonder en 1997 son entreprise de services informatiques,\u00a0Kommando, rebaptis\u00e9e\u00a0Diablotin\u00a0en 2002 et toujours en activit\u00e9. N\u00e9 le 2 avril 1968,\u00a0Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier Talgornd\u00e9couvre l\u2019informatique \u00e0 14 ans lors d\u2019une soir\u00e9e avec des amis qu\u2019il passe \u00e0 programmer sur une calculatrice\u00a0TI-57. Deux ans plus tard, il re\u00e7oit son premier ordinateur, un\u00a0Oric Atmos, qui sera suivi par un\u00a0Amstrad CPC. Il commence alors \u00e0 bidouiller quelques jeux en BASIC, et s\u2019int\u00e9resse vite \u00e0 la programmation de musique et de son.
