Dany Boolauck

Born in Madagascar, Dany Boolauck grew up in Mauritius before moving to France to study at ESCE. It was there that he fell under the spell of an Apple ][, in 1975.

Although he was ranked 1st series in Badminton, his passion for microphones won out when he applied for a job at Tiltthe leading French video games magazine. He gradually rose through the ranks to become deputy editor-in-chief, a position he also briefly held at Joystick.

In the early 90s, he took part in the television programme Micro Kid's where he is a leading specialist in previews. In 1992 he left the world of journalism to become executive producer at Delphine Software and Adeline Software in the company of Frédérick Raynal and Paul Cuisset.

Then, for personal reasons, he moved to South-East Asia, where he was appointed Vice-Chairman of Virgin Interactive SEA in Singapore, before setting up his own distribution company in Thailand, where he currently works with Namco Bandai and Square-Enix.
