Éric Viennot

Born on 10 March 1960 in Lyon, Éric Viennot trained as a visual artist, which led him to work as a painter, photographer and video artist with the multimedia artists' group Crew 10. He passed the Capes and Agrégation exams in visual arts and taught at the University of Paris 1 for five years.

In 1990, with Marie Viennot and José Sanchis, he created the studio Lexis NumériqueInitially specialising in computer-generated images, Éric Viennot then took part in a number of multimedia projects as a graphic designer and artistic director. From 1998 onwards, he specialised in productions for young people, including the CD-ROM series The Adventures of Uncle Ernest which has won him numerous international awards.

In 2003, he changed register with the trilogy In MemoriamThe film is a cross between video games, cinema and the Internet, and has won the SACD prize. It is made Chevalier des Arts et Lettres in March 2007 and released eXperience 112 the same year. Today, he is continuing his research into cross-media games, in particular with his next project, the ambitious Alt-Minds.
