MO5.COM Podcasts are back with a very different subject from previousThere are, of course, some players who enjoy football games just as much as the others. RPG. It has to be said that, while they are all heirs to the tabletop role-playing game, they now form a very wide range of games, in Japan as in the West, and from the hack 'n slash at tactical via the roguelike.
Despite the length of these long-running games, this programme is not intended to be an exhaustive list, and we apologise in advance for omitting titles and series that are dear to our hearts, such as Xenogears, Grandia, Earthbound or even Skies of Arcadiaalthough we will of course be covering the essentials Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Megami Tensei, Ultima, Wizardry or even Might & Magic. To do this, we called on Raphaël Lucasthe author of the imminent History of RPGs at Pix'n Loveand to Erwan Lafleurielaka Fumble on Gameblog.
The participants in this podcast are :
- Raphaël Lucasjournalist and author of The history of RPGs
- Erwan Lafleurielaka Fumblea journalist with Gameblog
- Guillaume Verdineditorial manager of Mag which covers the latest retrogaming
- Anthony Avilaa librarian, role-player and blogger
- and Jean-Sébastien Brugalatour very own MJ #R.I.P. MJ
Bonus feature: interview with Raphaël Lucas on the Video Game Portal, its article originally published in IG Magazine about the shift in meaning that has occurred with the transposition of the tabletop RPG into a video game, and finally the show from The Good Fairy in which Fumble took part.
Erratum : If it was indeed a competition that enabled Yûji Horiithen editor at Shônen Jumpto create games for Enix, Dragon Quest had not been the subject of a competition.
