Podcast #39 - Metal Gear turns 30

At the end of the previous issuewe announced that MO5.COM Podcastswere to return for an 'exceptional' issue, but unfortunately this has been postponed. However, the podcast we are offering you is no less the result of a fine alignment of stars; the series Metal Gear celebrated its thirtieth birthday last Friday, in the midst of the Japan Expo.

So it was the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the presence at the show of two of the authors of the reference book on the Konamiavailable from Third ÉditionsNicolas Courcier and Mehdi El Kanafi - the latter having already taken part in one of our programmes five years ago!

This time, however, the recording was not done on location but in our premises, in very special conditions, including the heat, which explains the presence of (some) street noises heard through the open window, as well as the infiltration of a cat into the studio, although this was cut during editing!

But as our honorary member Hideo KojimaWe took advantage of this constraint to offer a more concise programme than the previous ones, even if we unfortunately weren't able to tackle the themes of the series that were dear to Apothe initiator of this issue.De gauche à droite : Mehdi El Kanafi, Nicolas Courcier et Apo

From left to right: Mehdi El Kanafi, Nicolas Courcier and Apo

Bonus feature: During this programme, the article by Gamekult dedicated to the rebirth of Raidenthe famous tortue-monde "appearing in the background of theArsenal Gear in Metal Gear Solid 2and promotional video from The Twin Snakes presenting the remake as the fruit of an exceptional collaboration, which was in fact a bit misleading...
