Born in 1966 in Brive-la-Gaillarde, Corrèze, Frédérick Raynal made his first amateur game on ZX81 while still a minor. He made a name for himself with the graphics for the brick-breaker Pop-Corn in 1988, followed by the programming ofAlpha Wavesa 3D maze game that can run on a simple Intel 286. He was then hired by Infogrames where he created Alone in the Darkconsidered to be one of the first survival horror of the story. He won't be taking part in future instalments to found Adeline Software International in 1993 with former Infogrames employees.
The following year, their first game, Little Big Adventure was a huge success, selling over a million copies. In 1997, the company was bought by Sega and renamed No Cliché. It will develop three Dreamcast games, including Toy Commander. After working as a consultant for a number of companies, Frédérick Raynal is currently working with Ubisoft on a new laser shooter project called Battle Tag.
