Born on 4 September 1965, Kazuko Shibuya decided to work in graphics at secondary school after discovering cartooning Uchū Senkan Yamato. After her studies, she worked in an animation studio where she took part in the cartoons Obake no Q-taro, Area 88 and Transformers.

However, she was not satisfied with working as an intervalist in animation and decided that this was not the path for her. In 1986, she decided to respond to an advert from the video games company Square Co, Ltdwho hired him after giving him a pixel illustration test. His first job was to produce illustrations for King's Knight (1986).

When the project was launched Final Fantasy She volunteered to join the team and will be in charge of 'pixelating' the entire game universe, from sprites to towns, including the title screen and the legendary menus.
