Dino Dini

Dino Dini learned programming on his own, starting out on a Acorn System 1in 1979, and began creating video games for microcomputers. Since then, he has continued to develop titles for a wide range of platforms.

His first published games were published by a small company called Timedatastarting with Acorn Atom Magic Book in 1980. He began developing Kick Off in 1988. After the release of Dino Dini's Soccer (1994), he went on to work in the United States for several companies before returning to the UK in 2001.

Over the next five years, he worked with Trecision in Italy and DC Studios in Canada on two different football game projects, which were not brought to market as the two companies involved ran into financial difficulties at a difficult time for the industry. From 2007 to 2015, he was employed as a professor at a university of applied sciences in the Netherlands, where he taught video game programming. He is currently working full-time on Dino Dini's Kick Off Revival with the support of Sony.
