Podcast #41 - The PC Engine turns 30

After the Nintendo 64MO5.COM Podcasts are celebrating another machine that is celebrating its thirtieth birthday today: the PC Engine. Following a more personal editorial By definition, in March we wanted to take a look back at the very special genesis and design of this console - or rather, this range of machines. The one that was not very far from imposing NEC as the third major manufacturer with Nintendo and SEGA unfortunately did not enjoy the same success in the West as it did in Japan, despite the bold initiative of Sodipeng in France, which we will of course cover in this programme.

To do just that, we called on a French journalist who defended it tooth and nail in Consoles+ at the time, our eminent member Douglas Alveswho teaches History of Video Games. He is accompanied by the programmer Vincent " MooZ "to whom we owe demos and hacks on the machine as Final Match Tennis Ladies (2016).
